Free Pregnancy Testing

FAQs

How much do your pregnancy tests cost?

Nothing at all! We can give you a free test so you can determine if you are pregnant and if so, what to do next.

Do I need to bring ID or specific paperwork?

All of our services are completely confidential. All you need to bring is yourself.

How long will I have to wait for results?

Our tests produce results in mere minutes. All testing is completed on-site, so you will know before you leave whether you are pregnant or not.

Do I need to make an appointment?

We welcome walk-ins. However, we do appreciate if you call ahead and let us know you’ll be coming.

I’ve already taken a home pregnancy test. Do I need another one?

We use medical-quality pregnancy tests here at Birthright- Ghana. If you are not sure whether or not you can trust the results of your home pregnancy test, feel free to come to us. Our tests are fast, free, and accurate. However, if you’re confident that you are pregnant, you are welcome to learn more about our services without taking a pregnancy test.

I cannot come during your open hours. What should I do?

Simply give us a call. We will make arrangements for a special appointment so you can get the help you need.

Is your pregnancy test better than store-bought tests?

Yes. We use medical-quality pregnancy tests, which are designed to be sensitive and accurate. Also, our pregnancy tests are free.

My period isn’t late yet. Do I have to wait?

No. Our tests can let you know if you are pregnant as soon as 7 days after sexual activity/conception. If you are worried, don’t think you have to wait in suspense. Come to us and get peace of mind.

I’ve recently had unprotected sex. What symptoms should I be looking for to determine if I might be pregnant or not?

Pregnancy symptoms vary from woman to woman. The only way to be sure whether you’re pregnant or not is to take a medical-grade pregnancy test. That being said, many women experience some or all of the following symptoms:

  • Missed period

  • Frequent urination

  • Fatigue

  • Changes in breasts or breast tenderness

  • Nausea at any time of day (“morning sickness” is not just limited to the mornings)

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms following unprotected sex, come to us for a free pregnancy test.

My test came back positive. What do I do now?

We are here to help. We will listen to your concerns and help you come up with a plan of action to do what is best for you and your baby. Visit us or call us today so we can talk.
